Youth Development Coordinator

  • Manages Lifespan’s Youth Development and Youth Employment programs
  • Develops strategies to encourage youth to consider and pursue health care careers at Lifespan
  • Speaks to youth to increase knowledge and awareness of health care careers

Alexis Devine is dedicated to increasing youth awareness of health care careers and access to employment at Lifespan. Her passion for creating opportunity shows through her efforts to educate them about life skills and proper training to obtain a career. She helps young people better themselves professionally and personally. Her influence on the youth she encounters showcases her long-term commitment to helping young people develop into successful adults. Alexis holds a BA from Brown University and serves on several boards, including Workforce Partnership of Greater RI and Providence/Cranston Workforce Investment Board. She provides workforce and professional development for public service providers and co-teaches a course at Providence College on program implementation.

 

Stephanie LutherStephanie Luther

Stephanie Luther graduated from University of Rhode Island with her bachelor’s in psychology. She is currently working on her master’s of psychology at Rhode Island College and has extensive experience as a behavioral specialist and business manager. Stephanie is dedicated to improving outcomes for young people. She effectively works with youth employees to create individual future plans and identify solutions to the barriers or challenges they may face. Stephanie is compassionate about youth development and is a strong advocate for their needs.

 

Josh LaguerreJosh Laguerre

Joshua Laguerre is a junior at Rhode Island College, studying business management. Joshua, a former Lifespan Summer Youth employee, coordinates the Lifespan Summer Youth Employment Program activities. He assists with program design and creating new youth development workshops. Josh serves as a role model and mentor for youth employees. When he is not at school or work, he participates in many extra-curricular activities, including the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Rhode Island College student government and the Rhode Island College Multi-cultural Club.
